TACOM is air launch unmanned aerial vehicle for technology demonstration, developed by Fuji Heavy Industries.
Full name is TAyoto COdata Mujinki (multi mission small UAV), and now renamed to Mujinki Kenkyu System (Unmanned Aircraft Research System).
Take off with large aircraft, and launch at high altitude.
TACOM used F-4EJ in flight test, new TACOM use F-15J.
Flight control by pre-programing.
Sensor bay positioning under body, mount recon camera.
TACOM can change mission payload, for various mission.
End mission, return to base and autmatic landing.
Old TACOM was landing by parachute and airbag, new TACOM change to landing gear for re-use.
